This page explains how to delete your myKuaför account (developer: mergen tech) and your personal data. You can delete your account in two ways: from within the app, or — even if you have uninstalled the app — by submitting a web request.
1. Deleting Your Account In-App
If you can sign in to the app, you can delete your account directly:
- Open the myKuaför app and sign in to your account
- Go to Settings
- Tap Security > Delete Account
- Re-authenticate your identity (password, Google, or Apple)
- Confirm the deletion
2. Requesting Deletion via the Web
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, you can submit your deletion request online:
- Send an email from the address registered to your account to info@mykuafor.app
- Use the subject line "Account Deletion Request"
- Sending from your registered email is sufficient to verify your request; we may contact you to confirm your identity
- Once received, your account and data are deleted under the rules described below
Web deletion requests are completed within 30 days at the latest.
3. Data That Is Deleted and Retained
When your account is deleted, your data is handled as follows:

| Payment records | Retained for 10 years per tax law (anonymized) |
Reviews, appointment, and payment records are anonymized rather than fully deleted, due to businesses' operational and legal obligations (tax, accounting). These records can no longer be associated with you.
4. Deletion Process and Timing
- 30-day recoverable period: After your deletion request, your account is held inactive for 30 days. If you sign in again within this period, the deletion is automatically cancelled and your account is restored.
- Permanent deletion: At the end of the 30 days, your personal data is permanently deleted or anonymized.
- Legal retention: Only records required by law (payment/tax records) are retained for their applicable retention periods, in anonymized form.
5. Business Accounts
If you own a business account, deleting your account removes your business profile from public listings (it is deactivated). Past appointment and payment records are retained in anonymized form to protect customers and meet legal obligations.
